Nearly 300 Northwest Christian University supporters took to the links for a day of golf and fellowship at the NCU Golf Classic, Dinner and Auction, Sept. 14 and 15, at Shadow Hills Country Club near Junction City, Oregon.
Presented by Kendall Subaru and Chambers Construction, the annual event raises money to fund scholarships awarded to students attending NCU.
“Nearly 98 percent of all NCU students receive scholarships and other financial aid,” said Keith Potter, D.D., Vice President for Advancement. “Combined with record enrollment, it is easy to understand why this annual golf tournament and dinner auction to support scholarships is so important to students and to the overall health of the university and the larger community.”
“We are thankful for our presenting sponsors, Kendall Subaru and Chambers Construction, as well as for the generous support of our other sponsors and for those who played golf, attended our dinner and auction,” Potter said.
The tournament began 22 years ago. In the past few years, golfers, sponsors, and dinner auction guests have contributed nearly $500,000 to the scholarship fund.
