Northwest Christian University’s Forensics Team has announced its tournament schedule for the academic school year, according to William Andersen, the University’s forensics coach.
“We compete in the Northwest Forensics Conference with many of the top ranked programs in the nation,” said Andersen. “NCU has a strong team that is growing in participation and its competitiveness.”
November 18-20: Mahaffey Tournament. This tournament is held on the campus of Linfield College in McMinnville, and as a ‘designated tournament’ is the largest NCU will be attending this season.
February 10-13: University of Oregon. One of the top teams in the nation is NCU’s neighbor, the University of Oregon.
February 17-19: Hatfield Debates on the campus of Willamette University –while debate only, champions from China and sometimes the European champions will attend this tournament.
Oregon State University also has a full service tournament scheduled for the same weekend as the Willamette University tourney.
“The choice between these two tournaments will largely depend upon the preference of our team as we near the registration time,” Andersen said. “As the season moves forward, we may add a few more tournaments to the schedule.”
