Beacons Picked to Host NAIA Opening Round

NATIONAL TOURNAMENT QUALIFIERS

EUGENE, Ore. – The Bushnell volleyball teams historic run will continue at home on Saturday as the Beacons were selected as one of 24 host sites for the NAIA Women’s Volleyball National Championship Opening Round.

In three previous trips to the NAIA National Tournament, the Beacons (20-12) were saddled with an opening road trip to various Frontier Conference schools in Montana, but were selected as the No. 18 seed for 2025 and will get to stay at home for the start of the national tournament for the first time in school history.

Bushnell will play host to MidAmerica Nazarene University (21-8). The start time for the game will be released soon, anticipated to be scheduled for either 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm PT.

The Pioneers, out of Olathe, Kansas, were also an at-large berth out of the Heart of America Conference. They come into the tournament receiving votes in the NAIA national coaches poll. They finished in third-place in the Heart and advanced to the conference semifinals.

The Beacons were one of a record seven teams from the Cascade Collegiate Conference that were selected for the tournament. No. 1 Eastern Oregon, No. 5 Corban, and No. 20 College of Idaho will all host opening round games while Northwest University, Lewis-Clark State College, and Walla Walla University will all travel.

The winners of the 24 opening round contests will advance to the NAIA Volleyball National Championship Final Site, taking place in Sioux City, Iowa from December 3-9.
