EUGENE, Ore. – The streak continues at Bushnell University. The School of Nursing proudly announces that every student in its sixth Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing cohort has successfully passed the National Council Licensure Examination on their first attempt, continuing the program’s emphasis on academic excellence and clinical preparation necessary to meet the standard for safe nursing practice.
This achievement highlights the program’s rigor and personalized approach that define Bushnell’s nursing education. Since the program’s inception, Bushnell’s ABSN graduates have consistently demonstrated exceptional readiness to serve as competent, compassionate, and Christ-centered nurses.

Our clinical partners are also invaluable in our program’s ongoing success.”
The ABSN program, designed for students who already hold a bachelor’s degree, provides a rigorous, faith-integrated curriculum that can be completed in just 12 months. Through classroom instruction, simulation labs, and clinical placements across the region, students develop both the technical and interpersonal skills needed to meet the growing demand for nurses in Oregon and beyond. The program prepares ethical nurses to lead evidence-based quality improvement within diverse healthcare and educational communities, embracing Bushnell’s mission to foster wisdom, faith, and service through compassionate, academically grounded instruction.
“God has richly blessed this program,” Welch added. “As we prepare to graduate Cohort 7 this December and guide Cohort 8 toward their 2026 completion, we continue to pray for wisdom, grace, and endurance in our shared mission to serve others through healthcare.”
