Bushnell University Launches Suite of New Career-Aligned Programs

EUGENE, Ore. Cybersecurity jobs are growing 32 percent faster than the national average, healthcare administration roles are projected to rise 28 percent over the next decade, and artificial intelligence job postings are expanding 3.5 times faster than the broader job market. In response to these rapidly growing fields, Bushnell University is launching a new suite of undergraduate and graduate programs beginning Fall 2026.

The new offerings include a Bachelor of Science in Finance, available both as a hybrid on-campus program and fully online; a new Public Health program; and an Applied Artificial Intelligence concentration within the Computer Science major. At the graduate level, four new MBA specializations will be added: Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Cybersecurity, and Healthcare Administration.

“These programs reflect our commitment to preparing students not just for a job, but for a calling,” said Dr. Joseph D. Womack, President of Bushnell University. “Fields like artificial intelligence, finance, and healthcare administration are shaping how our communities function and how people flourish. At Bushnell, we believe students should enter these professions with both technical excellence and a faith-centered commitment to serve others and lead with integrity.”

The programs were developed in partnership with Rize Education, which collaborates with more than 130 colleges and universities nationwide to design career-aligned academic offerings. Through the partnership, Bushnell faculty worked with Rize to develop a curriculum informed by direct industry input from leading technology companies, including Google, Meta, Amazon, and Microsoft, ensuring that course content reflects the skills and knowledge employers are actively seeking.

The BS in Finance prepares students for careers in banking, investment, corporate finance, and financial planning, while its flexible delivery format allows students to balance education alongside work and family commitments. The Public Health program equips students to address pressing community health challenges and design initiatives that improve outcomes for at-risk populations. The Applied AI concentration positions computer science students at the forefront of one of the most transformative technological shifts of the modern era, combining strong technical foundations with practical, real-world AI applications.

The new MBA specializations allow graduate students to deepen their expertise in fields that are reshaping modern business leadership, from data-driven decision-making to protecting digital infrastructure and navigating the evolving healthcare landscape.

The announcement reflects Bushnell’s ongoing momentum as the university continues evolving alongside the needs of its students and the workforce they will enter. In recent years, Bushnell has expanded its varsity athletics programs, grown its campus footprint, and deepened partnerships that strengthen both academic and co-curricular life. Today’s announcement continues that pattern of purposeful growth.

“We are not standing still,” said Dr. Reed Mueller, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty. “The world is changing rapidly, and our students deserve programs that meet them where the opportunities are. Whether it is the rise of artificial intelligence, the growing complexity of healthcare, or the critical demand for cybersecurity expertise, Bushnell is ready to prepare the next generation of leaders in these fields, and to do so in a community grounded in faith, integrity, and purpose.”

Current and prospective students interested in any of the new programs are encouraged to apply now for Fall 2026 enrollment or speak with an advisor. For more information and to begin an application, visit bushnell.edu or contact the Office of Admissions.
