My first semester at NCU has been one of the best experiences of my life. Before attending I was asked to be the newest member of Virtue, and it has been a challenging and worth-while experience. I’m thankful to have the opportunity to worship and travel with a group of people that has the same passion and love for Christ. I also had the opportunity to travel with the South America trip and it was an experience that I will never forget. My heart was opened and a seed was planted for missions. I have to be honest, I was quite intimidated and scared to go to a foreign country with a group of people that I hardly knew, but the relationships that were formed are relationships that will stay with me forever.
Last weekend was the best ending to this semester. After three months of rehearsing we were able to put all our hard work into action and sing about our Savior’s birth during the annual Candlelight Carols Christmas concert. When I stepped out on stage, I could feel the presence of God so strongly that tears started to flow. It was a surreal feeling that is hard to put into words.
I thank God everyday for bringing me to this university and giving me these opportunities to live out my calling. When applying to NCU I didn’t have the slightest clue to what I would be doing this semester, but God has blessed me immensely and I’m excited to see what God has in store for me for the remaining of my education here at NCU! All praise be to God!
