Skye Jethani Comes to Campus Sept. 12

Skye Jethani speaks at NCU on September 12, 2017Nationally renowned author, speaker, consultant, and ordained pastor, Skye Jethani, will speak with the Northwest Christian University campus community on Tues., Sept. 12, during Chapel in the Morse Events Center at 11 a.m. Also, he will make a brief presentation and be available for a question and answer session at 3 p.m. in the Ross Evans Chapel. His presentations are open to all students, staff, faculty, and friends of the University.

Jethani is the author of four books, including the recently released: What’s Wrong with Religion? 9 Things No One Told You About Faith, and co-hosts The Phil Vischer Podcast with Veggie Tales creator Phil Vischer.

“Through amazing storytelling, Skye Jethani delivers Scripture in a unique way that challenges our way of thinking, questions the world we live in, and inspires us to grow closer to God,” said Rev. Troy Dean, M.A., Campus Pastor and Assistant Professor. “Through humor, and with clarity, he will guide us over barriers that get in our way to follow God.”

Jethani has held numerous roles at Christianity Today and served as both the managing editor and senior editor of Leadership Journal and as the Director of Mission Advancement for Christianity Today. He has written for the Washington Post, Huffington Post, and is frequently featured on radio programs across the country. A sought after speaker, he has spoken at Q, Catalyst, Mars Hill Bible Church, and U.S. Naval Academy, among many others.

A former teaching pastor at Blanchard Alliance Church in Wheaton, Illinois, he is a “Featured Preacher” on PreachingToday.com. His latest project is the With God Daily Devotional, a subscription-based daily e-mail designed to help the Smartphone generation begin the day with God.
