Catholic Community Services of Lane County has designated Northwest Christian University as a collection site for its annual winter clothing drive to support low-income households throughout the area.
NCU faculty, staff, friends, and students can place warm clothing donations in the bin located in the lobby of the Pomajevich Faculty Building. During the past four years, Catholic Community Services has collected more than 5,000 articles of warm clothing to give to individuals and families.
Donations of warm clothing will be distributed free of charge by Catholic Community Services at its service centers in Eugene and Springfield. While the organization accepts donations year-round, beginning today through Feb. 15, 2017, it is focusing its efforts to collect the following cold weather clothing and gear:
• Winter Coats
• Blankets
• Sleeping bags
• Socks/Mittens/Gloves
• Shoes
• Umbrellas/Rain Gear
• Warm clothing
*All sizes are appreciated, from toddler through adult.
Cash donations are also accepted, with 100% of the donation used to purchase clothing for free distribution to those in need. Make check payable to “Catholic Community Services,” note “Clothing Drive,” and mail to 1025 G Street, Springfield, OR 97477, or donate online at www.CCSLC.org.
