Twenty Northwest Christian University students left for Rome, Italy, on May 9, 2017, for a 26-day study abroad experience that will take them through history from the catacombs to the renaissance.

Students will take two classes during the trip that are taught by NCU Associate Professor Brian Kaelin, Ed.D. and Assistant Professor Stacey Lewis, M.B.A. Rome, Florence, Venice, and Paris will serve as the classroom as the students learn and experience history, literature, music, art, and church history in the places where much of our culture, faith, and government were originally formed.
“One of the purposes for studying abroad is for students to expand their worldview, as they live and learn within a different cultural context. It is our hope that students will develop an appreciation for the people they encounter, and a deeper sense of self and vocational calling,” Kaelin said. “Studying abroad is an important component of a well-rounded Christian liberal arts education.”
