Northwest Christian University’s Fall Commencement is set for Fri., Dec. 15, 2017, in the Morse Event Center on campus beginning at 6 p.m.
The commencement speaker is Sam Thomas MA ’93, who founded Good Sam Gospel and Medical (the name is inspired be the story of the Good Samaritan) in Cambium Valley, Theni District, in the Southeast State of India. Good Sam Gospel and Medical has established 10 home churches and leads children’s ministry. The organization also established a hospital that is staffed by four physicians, and more than 30 medical professionals who deliver medical services with Christian compassion and care to 100 or more patients per day. In addition, Good Sam Gospel and Medical operates a school founded on Christian principles for more than 900 students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Thomas will receive an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities.
Ninety-four NCU students are eligible to walk in the commencement ceremony. Prior to commencement, students graduating from NCU’s RN to BSN program will have their hands blessed at 4 p.m. in the Evans Chapel.
Parking for graduation is available next to the Morse Event Center. Street parking is available along Alder and Kincaid streets.
