Kathryn Hain, Ph.D., assistant professor of history and world Christianity, will read from a new book she recently co-edited entitled: Concubines and Courtesans: Women and Slavery in Islamic History. The book brings together the work of 16 scholars in this relatively new field of women’s slavery in Middle Eastern History.
Dr. Hain will speak about the books and answer questions during a reading sponsored by Kellenberger Library on Thurs., Feb. 15, at 5:30 PM in the Banquet Room. Refreshments will be served.
