Wong Nominated For Best Score

NCU’s Addison Wong, MM, instructor of music, was nominated for the Best Score Award at the Great Lakes Christian Film Festival in Buffalo, New York. Wong composed the musical score for Not Alone, a short-flim by evangelical filmmaker Earl Martin, about a man struggling with loneliness.

Addison Wong“It is honor to work on this important film with Earl Martin, my former youth pastor,” Wong said. “I first met Earl in Hoopeston Illinois, a small town I lived in for a year when I first came to the United States as a teenager. After all these years since we left Hoopeston, God had a plan for us to keep in touch through Facebook and we finally made something for HIS glory!”

Three other Christian film festivals have selected Not Alone for their schedules, including: Hollywoodivine International Film Festival in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania; Inspired Faith Film Festival in Douglasvillle, Georgia; and International Christian Film and Music Festival in Orlando, Florida.

“By the end of the film, our character realizes that not only does he have friends, he can also be a friend,” said Martin. “No one is truly alone. This film encourages all those who have lost a spouse not to shut themselves off from the world. The grief is real, but life continues and has purpose.”

“I pray that this film will be an encouragement to all who watch it,” Wong said.

Not Alone is little longer than eight minutes in length. It can be viewed online at no cost on Vimeo.
