Dave Quirk Wins State Motorcycle Safety Award

Dave QuirkTeam Oregon Motorcycle Safety Program recognized Dave Quirk of Veneta for its Rookie Instructor of the Year award Saturday, November 10 in Salem. The award honors a first-year instructor who has distinguished him or herself among peers outstanding energy, enthusiasm and excellence in teaching.

Team Oregon Director Aria Minu-Sepehr points out, “Teaching with Mr. Quirk is certainly not like teaching with a rookie. He has a fantastic grasp of what it means to be a safe, effective and efficient Team Oregon instructor.” Quirk is also well known as an assistant professor in business and management at Northwest Christian University in Eugene.

Quirk taught 14 safety courses – more than 150 new motorcycle riders – in his inaugural year as an instructor. “Dave is eager to learn, a positively buoyant influence on the students and is continually improving his delivery on the range,” said Minu-Sepehr.
