Seniors and More Honored at 2023 Iggy Awards

EUGENE, Ore.  – The 2023 Iggy Awards took place on Sunday night as the Bushnell Athletic Department honored the best of the best achievements of their 17 teams and over 240 student-athletes. In addition, the 2023 Senior Class was honored.

Award Winners included:

Perseverance Award: Leah Agost, Volleyball and Linus Rueegger, Cross Country & Track

Legacy Award: Makenna Northern, Volleyball and Beach Volleyball

Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Rebecca Kuskie, Cross Country and Track
Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Aspen Slifka, Women’s Basketball
Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Kyle Casperson, Baseball

Impact Award: Noah Mancione, Cross Country and Track

Male Champion of Character Award: Preston Ferry, Men’s Soccer
Male Champion of Character Award: Jaron Carter, Track & Field
Female Champion of Character Award: Sam Silver, Softball

Female Athlete of the Year: Makenna Northern, Volleyball
Male Athlete of the Year: Caden Stubbs, Men’s Golf
Male Athlete of the Year: Spencer Hoffman, Men’s Basketball

Dr. Heike McNeil Cup (Team of the Year): Volleyball

Additionally, Bushnell’s Chi Alpha Sigma Inductees were announced. These athletes earned at least a 3.8 cumulative GPA and have been members of the Bushnell athletics program for at least three years. They were Payton Jones (Volleyball), Kaylen Kamelamela (Women’s Basketball), Rebecca Kuskie (Cross Country and Track), Andrew Lindley (Esports), Halle Neumann (Volleyball and Beach), Mayah Pappas (Track & Field), Peyton Ritchie (Volleyball), Aspen Slifka (Women’s Basketball), and Jenae Usselman (Track & Field)

Bushnell also took time to honor the 2023 senior class of athletes.
