Beacons Compete at NAIA Track & Field National Championships

 

MARIAN, Ind.  – A record-setting season came to a close for freshman Nathan Fields on Friday at the NAIA Track & Field National Championships, taking place at Wildcat Stadium in Marian, Indiana.

The newly established indoor and outdoor Triple Jump school record holder, and reigning CCC Triple Jump champion battled through injury to compete at nationals, and finished with a top jump of 13.14m (43’1″) to take 24th place. His jump was the ninth-best in school history.

On the women’s side, junior Mayah Pappas made her first appearance at the NAIA Track & Field National Championships on Wednesday, taking place at Wildcat Stadium in Marian, Indiana.

With a top jump of 5.27 meters (17’3″), Pappas claimed 23rd place, after coming into the event seeded 26th. She was also fourth among Cascade Collegiate Conference competitors.

With that, the 2022-2023 athletic season at Bushnell officially ends.
