The 2023 Beacon Award Recipients are:

PeaceHealth

PeaceHealth, a not-for-profit Catholic health system, is based in Vancouver, Washington, and offers care to communities in Alaska, Washington, and Oregon. In 1890, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace founded what has become PeaceHealth. PeaceHealth’s roots in Lane County date to 1936 when the Sisters acquired Pacific Christian Hospital (founded by Bushnell University in 1923) in Eugene. Today, PeaceHealth is the legacy of the founding Sisters and continues with a spirit of respect, stewardship, collaboration, and social justice in fulfilling its mission. PeaceHealth has developed strategic partnerships, in service to the community’s healthcare needs, including vital work with Volunteers in Medicine, Homes for Good, and other non profits in the region. Additionally, PeaceHealth has made a significant contribution to the development and growth of Bushnell’s School of Nursing.
