Wonder is the theme for this year’s Experience Christmas Concert produced by Northwest Christian University’s (NCU) music department. The University’s 50-member choir and orchestra, including the contemporary women’s group, Willow, will perform Christmas classics as well as creative and innovative musical arrangements and compositions by music students and faculty members on Sat., Dec. 7, at 7 pm and Sun., Dec. 8, at 2:30 pm in the Morse Event Center at the corner of W. 11th Ave and Alder Street.
“The child in all of us wants to feel the wonder of that starry night when love broke into the world,” said NCU’s Music Department Director, Dr. Karen De Young, who is in her seventh year at NCU. “The NCU students, faculty, and staff are excited and ready to enjoy a Christmas journey with the audience through fun and touching moments alike. Experience Christmas with NCU will be fun for the entire family to enjoy.”
Nostalgic Christmas classics spanning a variety of musical genres, including jazz standards, rock and roll, pop, and spirited gospel will be performed. Through the creative story-telling elements of music, percussion, dance, video, lights, drama, and poetry, this year’s experience Christmas show will bring the wonder of Christmas to all who attend the performance.
Tickets for Experience Christmas: Wonder are $10 each for general admissions and $5 for students.
