There is something so beautiful about love. Love is a language that has no barriers. It is the only language in the world that seems to be universal and understood across all cultures through actions rather than words. Today as I spent time with the children at Calandaria’s feeding kitchen I realized something. I realized that even though I might not be able to understand all the words they were saying I could understand every hug, smile, laugh and gentle holding of small hands. It took no words from them for me to see God in these children because He was pouring from their kind and gentle actions. God commands all His people to love through our actions just as these children did today. “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and truth.” 1 John 3:18. I truly believe the richest people in the world are the ones who know God’s love and show it through their actions. Although many people would say these children don’t have much, I would say they are actually richer than most. These children showed God’s love with simple actions rather than words in the midst of the chaos around them. I am so grateful for these children and the reminder that love is the only language we need.
