Ryan Carroll, M.A.T.S. and M.Ed., has joined Northwest Christian University’s Teacher Education Program as Placement Coordinator and Licensure Specialist.
Carroll will assist undergraduate and graduate students to secure practicum opportunities and student-teaching experience. In addition, he will guide and support students through the licensure process with Oregon’s Teacher Standards and Practices Commission so they can earn a teaching license, a benefit of graduating from the University’s Teacher Education Program. On top of these duties, Carroll will also teach as an adjunct instructor for the University.
“The Teacher Education Program is known for producing teachers ready to tackle the opportunities and challenges of the classroom,” Carroll said. “I am excited to be working with students and faculty at Northwest Christian University.”
Carroll grew up in Eugene and graduated from South Eugene High School. He has nine years of middle school classroom teaching experience in schools here in Eugene/Springfield, and Seattle, as well as one year of ESL teaching experience in Poland.
He earned a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Regent College in Vancouver, B.C., Master of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Oregon, and an Associate of Arts from Lane Community College.
