Northwest Christian University students, faculty and staff will engage with 24 non-profit organizations during the annual Embrace The Community event on Tues., Sept. 18, 2018.
“More than 300 NCU students and campus community members will participate in a variety of work assignments to support the many local non-profit organizations who do so much good for the community and our students,” said Jennifer Little, M.A., Assistant Director of Residence Life and Coordinator for Campus Ministry. “We want ETC Day to ignite the flame for our students to become Beacons of Wisdom, Faith and Service for each other and others in the community.”
St. Vincent de Paul, Hendricks Park Shelter, CASA of Lane County, Luper Cemetary, Eugene Mission, Hosea Youth Services, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Springfield Youth Farm, SheterCre, Catholic Community Services, Grassroots Garden, Camp Harlow, Quail Park Memory Care, Greenhill Humane Society, Hope Ranch Ministries, Youth for Christ, Womenspace, Inv=c., Love INC, Mt. Pisgah, Olive Plaza, Looking Glass, and Veterans’ Housing Project.
Teams will be onsite to begin work at 1 pm and will conclude their projects by 3:30 pm.
