Northwest Christian University is partnering with Zipcar joining more than 100 other universities and colleges throughout the country in a car-sharing alternative that puts students, staff, and faculty in the driver seat to help control parking congestion and provide a solution to reduce the carbon footprint.
Zipcar, the world’s leading car sharing network, will bring its “wheels when you want them” membership service to NCU on Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, during noon-time presentations in the campus dining hall.
“We are pleased to partner with Zipcar to offer students and others on campus an affordable, convenient, and sustainable car-share service,” said Michael Fuller, NCU’s Vice President for Enrollment and Student Development. “This is an important option for all of us on campus and in the community to consider as good stewards of the environment.”
NCU joins other prestigious liberal arts colleges and universities to partner with Zipcar, including Pomona College, Smith College as well as public institutions like the University of Michigan and 500 other schools.
