Northwest Christian University has signed a collaborative agreement with G.L.O.B.A.L. Justice, a nonprofit organization that equips students and professionals to learn, lead, and do justice. G.L.O.B.A.L.’s educational consortium is a network of colleges, universities and graduate/law schools, that provide global educational opportunities.

NCU is partnering with G.L.O.B.A.L. Justice to present two undergraduate courses in Global Justice and Global Advocacy and Leadership to students enrolled in the university’s online adult degree program.  The courses will also be available to students in NCU’s traditional undergraduate program, as well as students from other institutions, particularly within G.L.O.B.A.L.’s education consortium.

“The elective classes presented by G.L.O.B.A.L Justice will challenge students to think about the world broadly and to pursue justice collaboratively, effectively, and from a biblical- perspective” said Dennis Lindsay, DR. THEOL., NCU’s vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty.  “G.L.O.B.A.L. Justice is well-known among leaders in Christian higher education for its excellence in advocacy, education, policy and research.  NCU is pleased that these rigorous course offerings are now among the curricular options for our students.”

In the fall, G.L.O.B.A.L. Justice will offer through NCU the first online elective course, Global Justice: Principle & Practices, and, in the spring, Global Advocacy & Leadership.  Both courses will be taught by Sosamma Samuel-Burnett, J.D., founder and president of G.L.O.B.A.L. Justice.

“NCU’s reputation for academic excellence, community and global service, and commitment to biblical principles makes it a perfect partner for this collaborative educational opportunity,” Samuel-Burnett said.  “I look forward to engaging students at NCU, and across the country, in thoughtful discussion and discovery about global justice. The courses are designed to consider how to ethically and creatively address global injustices and integrate biblical justice principles in our lives, our work, and our world.”

Other institutions within the G.L.O.B.A.L. Justice Education Consortium include: Biola University, Colorado Christian University, Crown College, Regent University School of Law, Trinity International Law School, Vanguard University, and William Jessup University.
