NCU Celebrates Oregon Private College Week

 

EUGENE, Ore.—- Northwest Christian University will host prospective students and their families for tours and information sessions during Oregon Private College Week, July 25- 29.

“Oregon Private College Week is an exciting opportunity for prospective students to learn more about Northwest Christian University as well as Oregon’s other private universities and colleges,” said Michael Fuller, vice president for enrollment and student development .  “Students who want the opportunity to graduate in four years will learn that attending Northwest Christian University, where the faculty and staff know your name, can be an affordable option compared to a fifth year or more at another institution.”

During Oregon Private College Week, tours begin at NCU at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Admissions and financial aid representatives will be available to meet with prospective students and their families.

Prospective students will receive application fee waivers if they register in advance for Oregon Private College Week, and visit a minimum of four private universities or colleges that are members of the Oregon Alliance of Independent Colleges and Universities (The Alliance). Also during Oregon Private College Week, Northwest Christian University will join other members of The Alliance for GEAR UP or Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs, a federally funded program to increase readiness and applications from low-income students.  Participants will attend a series of workshops led by representatives from each member school from The Alliance and will complete the Common Application.

Oregon Private College Week is sponsored by The Alliance, Matched College Savings Program, and $ALT.
