NCU Names Veltri Associate Professor and Director of RN to BSN Program

Veltri, LindaEUGENE, Ore.—- Linda Veltri, Ph.D. R.N. has been named an Associate Professor and Director of the RN to BSN program at Northwest Christian University.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Veltri to the NCU faculty,” said Dennis Lindsay, Dr. Theol., Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty at NCU. “Dr. Veltri brings an impeccable reputation and an impressive career in nursing and higher education to lead NCU’s growing RN to BSN program.”

Prior to joining the NCU faculty, Dr. Veltri, taught as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing at Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) in Ashland, Oregon. She has authored or co-authored several publications in academic journals and textbooks related to simulation, family nursing, and nursing education.

Dr. Veltri’s area of clinical expertise is maternal-newborn nursing where she has worked as a staff and charge nurse and unit manager.  She is a long-time member of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) as well as actively involved in Ore
gon’s AWHONN Section.  Dr. Veltri also serves on the board of the Perinatal Rescue Network, an organization dedicated to improving survival of mothers and newborns in resource-limited settings.

In addition to extensive professional experience, Dr. Veltri earned a doctorate in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a master’s degree in nursing education from Gonzaga University, and bachelor’s of science degree in nursing from Whitworth College.
