The Northwest Christian University Men’s Soccer Team was involved in a vehicle accident on Interstate 5 near the southbound Glenwood Exit near Eugene, Oregon, on Thurs., Sept. 1, 2016, at approximately 4:30 pm. No one on the NCU team bus or occupants in the other vehicles involved in the accident were injured. The NCU team bus driver and coaches cooperated fully with law enforcement during their investigation of the accident.
The men’s soccer team is traveling from Eugene, Oregon to Incline Village, Nevada to play Sierra Nevada College on Fri., Sept. 2. The match against Sierra Nevada College is the first of a three game Labor Day Weekend road trip that also included contests against Pacific Union College in Angwin, California, and Simpson University in Redding, California.
After an assessment of the damage to the bus, NCU athletic department leadership determined the team will continue on its trip to Nevada and California for the scheduled games.
