Enrollment Underway for New MEd

The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities has approved NCU’s new Master of Education program. The MEd provides a pathway for highly qualified educators to earn a master’s degree in education with an additional endorsement in special education, physical education, or English to Speakers of Other Languages. The program is also available to NCU undergraduate Teacher Education students who, with an additional year of study beyond earning a bachelor’s degree, can earn both a bachelors and a masters degree.

“ I would like to commend Kathy Ditommaso Owen, Assistant Dean of Teacher Education, and Melanie Towne, Associate Dean of Professional Studies and Program Development, for their hard work in developing this program,” said Dennis Lindsay, D. Theol., Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty. “The MEd is an excellent degree offering from our teacher education department to help educators meet the changing needs of the students in their classrooms.”

Enrollment is currently under way for the first cohort to begin studies in July 2018.
