Northwest Christian University President Joseph Womack, Ed.D. met with Alumni in the Meridian/Boise, Idaho area, June 11 and 12, to report on the 2015-’16 academic year and to get reacquainted with friends and supporters of the university .
“It was wonderful connecting with Beacons in the Treasure Valley,” Dr. Womack said. “The area has a strong group of alums and friends whose prayers and support are so vital in our mission to provide students with a strong Christian university experience grounded in academic rigor based on wisdom, faith, and service.”
Womack was joined in Idaho by NCU Head Men’s Basketball Coach Luke Jackson and Director of Stewardship Greg Strausbaugh. After a golf event, Womack and Jackson each spoke to a gathering of 50 alumni and friends at Parkview Christian Church in Meridian on Sat. June 11. NCU Trustees organizing the reception and golf event that day included Sr. Pastor Gene Hill ’75, Kathy Carr ’68, and retired Red Rock Christian Church Sr. Minister Gary Smith ’73.
On Sunday morning June 12, Womack delivered the sermon at Parkview Christian Church. He was introduced by NCU Alumni Sr. Pastor Hill.
“NCU is blessed to have so many friends throughout the Treasure Valley, the Northwest and around the country,” Womack said. “We are thankful for their support and continued prayers.”
