Tickets are on sale for Night of Jazz, produced by the Northwest Christian University Performing Arts Department. The concert will be held on Sat., March 16 at 7pm in the Ross Evans Chapel located on the 2nd floor of the Price Music Building on the campus of Northwest Christian University. Free parking is available at the Morse Event Center, 828 E.11th Street, Eugene, OR.
Night of Jazz is a concert to celebrate styles of contemporary jazz, fusion, funk and swing. Night of Jazz will feature NCU’s Jazz Ensemble, Ladies Contemporary A Cappella Group, and soloists chosen from among their most talented students. We will bring you the finest music of Snarky Puppy and Gordon Goodwin, as well as original compositions and arrangements by NCU students and music faculty. In collaboration with our Contemporary Music Industry program, we are excited to present music that will utilize technology such as cutting-edge electric keyboard patches, amplified horns and strings with multi-effect pedals.
Night of Jazz helps support the NCU Music and Performing Arts program, including funding for tours, recording equipment, and state of the art technology.
